The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is supported by the Raiatea Regatta Association, Archipelagoes and the Tahiti Sailing Federation, but also thanks to the support of the Ministry of Sports, the media coverage of the local media and 37 TV channels in 190 countries around the world.

The unique setting of the race, between the crystalline lagoons and lush slopes of the Polynesian islands, also attracts many international photographers, who make stunning photographs regularly taken by the specialized press.

International media coverage

Daily video footage and a 26-minute report

Each day of the regatta, several video sequences made closer to the action by a professional team dispatched from France by Amaury Sport Organization, are made available to partners, local media and international television channels.

After the race, a report of 26 minutes is made by ASO. This 26 minutes is broadcast by forty TV channels around the world. All these video supports are free of rights and constitute a communication medium of choice for TPR partners.

Specialized photographers and magazine press

The official photographer of the regatta, Bertrand DUQUENNE, regularly produces covers and pictures of articles from the most prestigious specialized magazines. Every year, Tahiti Tourisme also hosts several major international signatures in the world of photography and sailing journalism. In 2017, a Japanese photographer, four international journalists and the local correspondent of AFP participated in the entire race.
