For 10 years, the TPR partnered with the majestic regatta Voiles de St Tropez (VST), and organised ten exchange of crews. This exchange has also helped forge strong ties between the communities, while at the same time benefit from the experience of the “Principal Race Officer” of Saint-Tropez, Mr. Georges Kohrel.

After 10 years, the TPR staff wanted to refocus on our Pacific region, more specifically the Polynesian triangle and proposed an exchange with Auckland’s prestigious Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS), organizers of the event. This is a new chapter for the TPR: a partnership with the Jack Tar Regatta on the same principle of exchange of crews and sharing of skills.

The winner of the TPR 2019 will be invited to race on a RNZYS sailboat during the Jack Tar Regatta in March 2020, while the winner of the Jack Tar Regatta 2019 will wear the RNZYS colors at the TPR in May 2019.
